Growing Wiser, Serving Better: Demerara Associates at 22
I recently came across a thoughtful reflection by Lisa Hanna on “beauty aging intelligently.” Her message challenged the idea that aging is something to resist. Instead, she suggested that true beauty comes from embracing growth, gaining wisdom, adapting to change, and becoming more purposeful with each passing year.
It made me reflect on Demerara Associates as we celebrate 22 years of service.
Businesses, like people, have the opportunity to age intelligently.
Twenty-two years is not simply a measure of longevity. It represents relationships built, challenges overcome, lessons learned, and the trust earned from clients, partners, and communities. Experience, by itself, is not enough. The real question is whether each year makes us wiser, more innovative, more responsive, and better equipped to serve.
An intelligently aging organization understands that success is not measured solely by revenue or expansion. It is measured by relevance. It asks difficult questions:
